About Slope (2014)
Autumn 2014 sees Untitled Projects create a brand new production of Pamela Carter’s play Slope. Originally produced by Untitled Projects in 2006, Slope explores the love affair between the 19th century poets, Paul Verlaine and Arthur Rimbaud, and its impact on Verlaine’s young wife Mathilde. Their verbal sparring is scabrous and hilarious, and their rollercoaster relationships as passionate and claustrophobic as they are cruel and ridiculous.
This new production of Slope will see us partner with Kiltr. We will co-produce a dual-purpose edition of Slope, with the play simultaneously produced for live audiences in Scotland and as an HD digital film available to stream online throughout the world. To watch the live-stream each night visit kiltr.com/slope
Slope will be at the Citizens Circle Studio 12th – 22th November 2014 and at Traverse 2 from 26th – 29th November 2014.
Performances
- Nov 26 - Nov 29, 2014 at Traverse Theatre
- Nov 12 - Nov 22, 2014 at Citizens Theatre
